Celebrate Lavender!   2008 Oregon Lavender Festival Scheduled for July 12 - 13

This year's Oregon Lavender Festival will be bigger and better than ever, now that the Yamhill Lavender Festival and the Portland Lavender Festival have joined forces. With more than 20 lavender destinations participating, including lavender farms, lavender nurseries, and the lavender-based Artisan Fair in Yamhill, you can expect new and exciting events!

Enjoy two days of fun at the Lavender Festival:

  • Artisan Fair in historic downtown Yamhill featuring fine arts, crafts, local lavender products for sale, lavender oil distillation demonstrations, music, an art show and sale, craft classes, food, and much more.

  • Tour U-Pick Lavender farms, each with its own selection of different varieties of lavender, and each with its own activities arranged for the festival, ranging from lavender bouquet cutting to mini-festivals with music, food, and vendors, so be sure to click on the farms page to see what each farm has to offer.

For a day or two, leave the world of hustle and bustle, computers, and chaos to soak in the delights lavender has to offer. Sometimes simply standing in the midst of a lavender field with its overwhelming beauty and aroma can be medicine enough to restore calm and recharge your spirit.

Yamhill Artisan Fair

In weeks prior to the festival, plein air artists will capture colorful local fields on canvas and display their art during the festival at a juried art show and sale in downtown Yamhill.

At the Artisan Fair, and at many of the lavender farms, you can make your own lavender themed crafts, such as wands, wreaths, crowns, sachets, soaps, eye pillows, and beaded jewelry. A diverse range of lavender products will also be for sale, many created by local craftsmen.

Many thanks to our sponsors and local merchants who have made the festival possible. Please visit our sponsors page to read more about them.
