Lavender Festival Hours: 10 am to 5 pm

Open for the Lavender Festival, July 9 & 10, 10-4 with our annual Gypsy Arts & Crafts Lavender Faire.  Special groups welcome by appointment  (we'll make you some lavender hibiscus lemonade), but sorry, no large buses. Stroll through the lavender, perennial flower, and rose gardens during your visit to the farm. Enjoy local vendors, crafting, and music--relax!

MoonShadow Lavender Farm is approximately 7 miles from Historic Downtown Albany. Our seven acre property is small and noncommercial. We enjoy the beauty of lavender and a lovely view of the Santiam River and the Cascade Range. Owners Ric and Gale Blasquez (and our chocolate lab, Lily) are hobbyists who love to be outdoors in the garden. We have grown L. angustifolia varieties of lavender since 2006. In 2010, we planted 650 more plants to include L. x intermedia varieties of Impress Purple, Giant Hidcote, Provence, and True Grosso.

With approximately 900 plants in 12 varieties, MoonShadow has fresh lavender from June to August (although some of our plants are young, lavender is quite hardy and grows quickly!).  A copper still from Portugal distills lavender for essential oil and hydrosol on site. We sell essential oils, hydrosols, Monster and Fairy Mists (a favorite for children), a variety of homespun lavender products, fresh lavender, and some propogated plants.

MoonShadow Lavender Farm also has 350 Pinot Noir grapevines for wine making.  Ric’s 2008 Virgin Vintage “River Dog Red” Pinot Noir and our 2009 Pinot Rosé Blend are in bottles and enjoyed by friends and family!  Our 2009 & 2010 Pinot Noir harvests are still in barrels, soon to be bottled.

We hope to see you at MoonShadow.... and “May the scent be with you!”
